About Gateways
Gateways Support Services provides quality, responsive services to more than 1000 children and adults with disabilities and their families in the Geelong-Barwon South Western region each year.
Gateways services include: autism assessment and diagnosis; case management; early childhood intervention; facilitated parent support groups; inclusion support at childcare and kindergarten, child and adult respite; Interchange volunteer respite; dementia and frail aged respite; social recreation groups for teenagers and young adults with disabilities, specialist school holiday programs for children with disabilities; and, seven Community Residential Units for people with severe disabilities.
We are acknowledged as the specialist provider of services to children and adults with autism in this region, with a particular focus on people with complex needs including challenging behaviour.
Gateways was formed by the local community to create services to address community needs and is run by a Board of Management comprising highly respected members of the community. We have strong networks and support within the Barwon region - a result of years of professional, responsive service delivery to this community.
