Out of Home Care for Children

Gateways manages three houses for children with complex disabilities who are unable to live with their families.

Our staff support the children by implementing Therapeutic Care Practices and Gateways “Reach for The Stars” model. A therapeutic care specialist consults with each service, staff and children. Each young person is supported to set and achieve their personal goals in addition to building their confidence, social networks and independence skills.

“A recent DFFH audit report found that Gateways provides a stable, nurturing, home like environment for children in care.”

Out of Home Care for Children is  funded by the Victorian Department of Health and Human Services.
