Rosemary Malone

B. Applied Science (Speech  Pathology) with distinction, Dip. Ed., Grad. Cert. Management

Rosemary has been the Chief Executive Officer of Gateways since 2003. Previously she was the Gateways General Manager from 1998 to 2003.

Rosemary has previous experience as a Team Leader with Barwon Specialist Children's Services and Disability Services. She also held the role of Chief of Speech Therapy at the Royal Melbourne Hospital as well as having experience as a speech pathologist in school support services and community health services.

Respite and Recreation Manager

Vicki Cameron

Dip. Social Science, Cert. Ed. (Intellectually Handicapped), Dip. Teaching, Grad. Dip (Special Education).

Vicki has diverse experience in the disability sector including 10 years teaching in special education and nine years managing accommodation services for people with disabilities in Victoria's Western District. She has been the Gateways Respite and Recreation manager since 2002.

Vicki is responsible for managing respite and recreation staff and volunteers and program management and service development for services to ageing carers of people with disabilities, dementia and/or frailty, and for families of children with disabilities.

Fiona Duthie

B. Com.

Fiona has been the Corporate Services Manager at Gateways since 2000. Her responsibilities include managing: the organisation's financial position; financial returns to funding bodies; banking, accounts and the payroll system; general administration; industrial relations; human resource management systems and policies; IT; asset management including the vehicle fleet; and, building maintenance and property lease arrangements.

Community Living Services Manager

Sean Justin

Cert. 4 (Disability)

Sean has been the Community Living Services Manager for Gateways since 2007.

His responsibilities include supported accommodation, independent living and individualised support. Sean also provides expert advice to other community organisations regarding people with an Autism Spectrum Disorder and complex behaviourial needs.

For more than15 years Sean has provided and managed supported accommodation, case management and service planning for people with an Autism Spectrum Disorder in Victoria's South West.

Early Childhood Intervention Services Manager

Di Strachan

B. Occupational Therapy, Cert. IV Training & Assessment, AccOT

Di has worked with Gateways since 1995 in diverse roles including: occupational therapy; case management; the Autism Early Learning Program; Early Intervention Playgroups; Early Days facilitator; and most recently as a team leader and intake worker for Gateways' early childhood intervention services.

In her current role, Di oversees Gateways' Early Childhood Intervention Services.

Prior to Gateways, Di worked in Victoria and interstate in rehabilitation, acute medical and community health.

Family & Community Support Manager

Bernadette Walker

Dip. Ed (Early Childhood), Cert. IV Management

Bernadette has been the Gateways Community & Family Support Manager since early 2010, previously working as a Preschool Field Officer with Gateways since 2006.

Her responsbilities include parent support; case management; flexible packages; the preschool field officer  service and the Kindergarten Inclusion Support Scheme.

Prior to working at Gateways, Bernadette was a kindergarten teacher from 1994 until becoming a preschool field officer at the City of Wyndham in 2001.

Geelong Police Disability Community Register

Corio Police approached Gateways Support Services in August 2011 to discuss the concept of using their existing Community Register framework for children with autism who lack awareness of danger and could be at risk, where police involvement may be required.
