2012 HAPPI AWARDS

Gateways Support Services is pleased to announce that the 2012 HAPI Awards are now open and invites applications

The HAPI Awards (Helping Achieve Positive Inclusion) recognise and celebrate the positive inclusion of children with disabilities and additional needs within mainstream services and schools in Barwon South Western region. Each winning service/school receives $1000 and a plaque commemorating the award win.

The HAPI Awards were initially open to kindergartens but have gradually expanded to cover childcare, and schools. The kindergarten awards and award for Catholic/ Independent school are sponsored by Gateways, the child care award by City of Greater Geelong and City of Warrnambool, and the government school award by the Department of education and Early Childhood Development.

Brighter Futures Fundraising Campaign

Gateways has launched an important campaign, the BRIGHTER FUTURES FUNDRAISING APPEAL to meet the growing needs of the region. We need your help to raise $960,000 to build a family friendly client services wing adjoining our current offices in Geelong West. It will be a bright and welcoming one-stop-shop where children with disabilities and their families can find support, programs and services they need in the one central hub.

Gateways Volunteers Celebrated National Volunteer Week with a Rock Star Party

Over 70 volunteers, Interchange Hosts and clients celebrated National Volunteer Week, with a party at the All Saints Hall on Friday 17th May 2013.
