We’ve got Christmas all wrapped up!
To celebrate International Day of People with a Disability, on Saturday 3 December we launched our annual gift wrapping campaign with our long term community partner Westfield Geelong.
We were thrilled that local artist Liam O’Neil joined us on Saturday during our launch day, volunteering to wrap gifts and raise awareness of autism in the community.
This year over 40 volunteers, will be supporting Gateways and wrapping Christmas presents for the Westfield Geelong customers in exchange for a gold coin donation per wrapped present.
The volunteers come from a range of backgrounds including Gateways staff, board, volunteers, families, GMHBA, Sacred Heart College, Bendigo Bank, NAB, Westfield, Barwon Health and Volunteering Geelong.
“This is a fantastic fundraiser for Gateways to help us continue providing children and adults with a disability and their families the extra support they need,” Rosemary Malone said.
The Gateways gift wrapping service is located on level 1 near Big W at Westfield Geelong and will be available every day until 5pm on Christmas Eve.
