Our new Warrnambool office officially opened during NDIS Q&A session
We had a great day in Warrnambool last week, where we held a free NDIS question and answer information session for more than 30 local parents, carers and families to celebrate the opening of our brand new office in Lava Street.
We were honoured to have local mother Elaine Knowles join us and officially open the building. The Gateways Warrnambool team have supported both of Elaine’s children, Lily and Hugh. Read more about Elaine in the Warrnambool Standard.
Families were able to use the session to find out more about the NDIS, which will be rolling out in the South-West from October 2017. There were lots of great questions asked and I think we were able to answer most of them!
Gateways CEO, Rosemary Malone who joined the team for the session, said the organisation has been working under the NDIS for four years so it was a great opportunity for families and carers in Warrnambool and nearby communities to have their questions answered, hear firsthand experience and link in with other parents in the area.
“It was wonderful to be able to use the learnings we have gained about the NDIS over the past four years’ experience in the Barwon region to help prepare families in the South West area to get NDIS ready.” Mrs Malone said.
