Gift Wrapping Fundraiser Kicks Off
Gateways Support Services kicked off their Christmas Fundraiser with a gift wrapping stand at Christmas with the Cats on Saturday at the Geelong Cats Shop at GMHBA stadium.
A Gateways gift wrapping stand will be running at Westfield, Geelong throughout the lead up to Christmas.
A gold cold coin donation supports children with autism and children with intellectual disabilities, who have limited access to social and recreational opportunities, get out and about and enjoy the Geelong community and participate in holiday activities.
Donations fund activity and entry fees in Gateway’s weekend and holiday activities such as Adventure Park, movies, mini golf, Aquapulse, Melbourne adventures, beach days and jumping castles. These costs are not government funded and the gift wrapping fundraiser ensures families aren’t disadvantaged by the activity costs and everyone can participate.
The Gateways Gift Wrapping stand will continue throughout December at Westfield, staffed by a committed team off over 100 local community volunteers. Local organisations and business have also joined in the Christmas spirit by providing teams of gift wrappers from:
GMHBA, Cotton On, Wallington’s WRG, TAC (Legal) and Bendigo Bank.
The Gateways Gift Wrapping stand is supported by our Community Partner, Westfield, Geelong and can be found on level 1 outside Big W.
