Leaving school is an exciting milestone, but it can also feel like a big leap into the unknown – we’re here to make that leap a little easier, and a lot more fun.
Our Recreation and Social Connect Programs are designed to bring people together, build confidence, and create opportunities to explore new interests and the community. Whether it’s a day trip to a community event, a skill-building activity, or simply enjoying time with friends, these programs are all about inclusivity, independence and enjoyment.
What are the Recreation and Social Connect Programs?
Think of them as a mix of social outings, activities, and events tailored to suit people of all abilities. From bowling and art workshops to local festivals and group cooking sessions, there’s always something new to try.
One of our most popular activities is Bowling Super Sunday! A chance to share laughs, practice skills, and celebrate strikes with friends. It’s simple, fun, and the perfect example of how our programs combine social connection with skill-building.
Why are they perfect for school leavers?
For young adults finishing school, Social Connect in particular can be a great next step. This program provides the chance to:

- Explore new hobbies and passions

All activities are supported by our experienced staff, who tailor the experience to meet individual needs and goals. For one school leaver, joining our cooking group sparked a love for hospitality, leading them to pursue further training and part-time work in a local café.
