We bid farewell to Dr. Robert Ward, a dedicated Gateways Board member who has been an important part of our Gateways community for more than 23 years.
Robert, a devoted family man and a father of three, one of whom benefited from Gateways services, brought a valuable perspective to the board. As a family doctor and a parent navigating the disability system, he was a valuable advocate.
Chair of Gateways board, Keith Ballie shares, ‘Rob’s contribution over more than two decades has been highly valued by the Board and in turn our clients and their families. He has brought great expertise and insight, along with being such a pleasure to work with. We wish him all the best on his journey.’
Passionate about enhancing Gateways quality and ensuring accessibility to services, as a Board member Robert aimed to ensure that Gateways continues to support families much like they helped support his own family and patients.
CEO of Gateways Rohan Braddy added, ‘Although I only had the privilege of working with Robert for a relatively short time, I quickly came to know him as a loyal, caring, humble and committed person who as a Board member made every decision through the lens of the participant at the centre, and was unapologetic about striving for service excellence in everything Gateways does. Robert is a true gentleman and I will greatly miss his wise counsel.’
Robert’s dedication to Gateways has significantly impacted our mission, and his legacy will continue to inspire us as we strive for service excellence. We express our deepest appreciation for everything Robert has contributed and wish him the very best in his future endeavours.
