Confidence and new discoveries at camp

At Gateways, we love helping people try new things and grow in confidence. Since joining us in July, Cheyenne has been attending several of our exciting camps, like staying at a farm, going on a snow day, and even experiencing life as a zookeeper for a day.
Though she was a bit nervous at first, Cheyenne’s support workers have always encouraged her to try new things. And every time she does, she’s so proud of herself. As her support worker Nicole said, “Cheyenne sometimes feels unsure about new things, but with a bit of encouragement, she always gives it a go. She feels so proud when she succeeds!”
Beyond her new experiences, Cheyenne’s playful and joyful nature shines through at camp. Support worker Audrey shared, “Cheyenne loves to laugh and joke with the staff and other kids. She really embraces every new experience with a big smile.”
