Every aspect of Getaway House has been set up with accessibility and comfort in mind. The house features wide hallways, hoisting equipment, and open-plan living areas to make moving around easy. We also have a wheelchair-accessible vehicle for safe, comfortable transport during outings or to and from local schools and day programs.
Encouraging independence, at their own pace
While staying at Getaway House, children and young people have the chance to practice everyday living skills in a supportive setting. Whether it’s cooking a simple meal, going shopping, or joining in with group activities, every experience is a chance to build independence and confidence—always guided by their interests and abilities.
School or program drop-off and pick-up available
We understand how important routine and consistency are. That’s why we offer school and program pick up and drop off services within the Warrnambool area, so your child can continue their daily routine while enjoying their stay with us.
