Gateways team members shine at the 2026 ResiROCKS Awards

September 2, 2026

Gateways is proud to celebrate the achievements of three outstanding team members who were recognised at the ResiROCKS Awards 2026.

The ResiROCKS Awards are Victoria's premier awards for therapeutic residential care, recognising and celebrating excellence in supporting children and young people living in residential care. Hosted annually by the Centre for Excellence in Child and Family Welfare and the Residential Care Learning and Development Strategy (RCLDS), the awards honour individuals and teams who demonstrate outstanding leadership, innovation, dedication, and commitment to achieving positive outcomes for young people. ResiROCKS stands for “Recognising Our Carers Knowlegde and Skills”

Mel Foley, Gateways Child and Youth Services (CAYS) Program Manager, won the Leadership Award in recognition of her exceptional leadership and commitment to making a difference. This award acknowledges and promotes the highest standards of therapeutic residential care in Victoria.

Donna Hughes, Gateways Therapeutic Residential Support Worker, who received the Judges' Award in the “Unlocking Futures” category. This is a wonderful recognition of Donna's dedication and the positive impact she has on the people she supports.

We would also like to congratulate Gateways Child and Youth services Therapeutic Specialist Bree Nash on being named a finalist for the Leadership Award. Being recognised among such a strong field is a significant achievement and reflects the passion, professionalism, and care Bre brings to her role every day.

These awards are a testament to the outstanding work of our CAYS team and a proud moment for Gateways. They highlight the dedication, compassion, and expertise our people bring to supporting children, young people, and families across our community.
