Gateways’ Pre-School Inclusion Services support kindergartens to create welcoming and inclusive learning environments for children with disability or additional needs. We work alongside kindergarten teachers and education teams, sharing practical ideas and guidance that help children take part, feel included and enjoy their time at kindergarten.
By supporting educators, we help create environments where all children can be supported to learn, play and grow together. Our approach helps remove barriers, build confidence, and strengthen inclusive practices across the whole kindergarten setting.
Our Pre-School Inclusion Services include the following supports, each designed to support inclusion within kindergartens in different ways.
Extra hands within the teaching team to support inclusion for all children. Additional Assistants work alongside teachers during sessions in a hands on way to help deliver inclusive activities and routines. They focus on the whole group, helping all children take part, feel included, and enjoy kindergarten.
These programs are funded by the Victorian Government, supporting inclusive early childhood education across Victoria.
