As a recreation volunteer you will support children and young adults to actively participate in a range of fun, social activities as part of Gateways recreational group programs.
Activities could include a trip to the beach, a visit to a wildlife park, going to the movies, cooking, school holiday camps or just hanging out having fun.
Gateways also has a number of shared accommodation houses that provide a long-term home to people with a disability. Some volunteers make regular visits to Gateways houses, establishing friendships and expanding the client’s social circle.
Experienced staff are available to support you as a volunteer at all times.
