New bus thanks to Costa Foundation

Costa Van Cropped Oct2019

More people are getting around to more outings thanks to The Anthony Costa Foundation’s generous donation of a new bus.

The Toyota Hiace minibus enables Gateways Support Services to safely transport up to eight children, teenagers or young adults with a disability to recreation programs and activities within the community. This means up to 40 people participating in their community each week.

Individual behavioural and health complexities means many of the people we support are unable to safely use public transport, hindering their participation and social inclusion.

The addition of a new minibus means Gateways now has three buses to meet growing demand to transport people to social, recreation and holiday programs within the Geelong and greater Barwon area.

The Anthony Costa Foundation’s donation allows Gateways to enhance our service delivery in the region by offering residents with a disability greater frequency and choice for living life on their terms.

Thank you!
