Looking For Housemates!

At Gateway Support Services, we believe that finding the right home is about more than just a roof over your head. It’s about creating a comfortable space where everyone feels supported and comfortable to be themselves. We’re excited to share that Karen and Michael are looking for two new housemates to join them in their Supported Independent Living home!

What is Supported Independent Living (SIL)?
SIL provides support for daily tasks at home, empowering you to build skills to live more independently. Whether it’s cooking a favourite meal, keeping things tidy, or simply enjoying a cup of coffee, SIL helps make daily living easier while helping to build independence. Karen and Michael’s home is a perfect example of how a supportive, friendly environment can make all the difference.

Meet Karen
Karen is a warm and easy-going person who loves keeping active and social. She enjoys everything from cooking and baking, to catching up with friends and family over a coffee. Her weekends are filled with shopping, outings, and the occasional AFL game. Karen looks forward to meeting new people and trying new things, like catching public transport to Melbourne or attending a musical.

Meet Michael
Michael prefers a quieter, relaxed environment. He’s happiest when he’s watching sports, going for peaceful walks, or unwinding at home with some TV. Although he’s on the shy side, Michael enjoys spending time with others in a calm setting, like sharing a meal at the local pub or watching a game. He’s also excited about the chance to experience more live sports and discover new local spots.

Karen and Michael are seeking housemates who value community, respect personal space, and share a love for social and active living. If you or someone you know might be a great fit, we’d love to hear from you!
