Gateways to Conclude Therapy Services in June 2025

Gateways Support Services has announced that it will conclude its Therapy services effective 27 June 2025, following a comprehensive review of the long-term sustainability of its programs.

Therapy services have been a key part of Gateways’ support for children and families since the organisation’s inception. Over time, these services grew to include a multidisciplinary team of speech pathologists, occupational therapists, and psychologists, supporting children with developmental delays and disabilities. Gateways established itself as a trusted provider of multidisciplinary autism assessments.

In recent years, however, the therapy landscape has shifted significantly. Increasing operational costs, limited to no growth in funding, and a highly competitive workforce environment have made it increasingly difficult to maintain a sustainable therapy offering.

“This has been a difficult decision, made only after careful analysis and consideration of what is viable and sustainable for the future,” said Rohan Braddy, Gateways CEO. “Our priority now is supporting our therapy clients and staff through a respectful and well-managed transition.”

Between now and 27 June 2025, clients will continue to receive support from Gateways’ therapy team as they are assisted to connect with alternative providers.

Gateways remains committed to delivering high-quality services that support people with disabilities and their families and will continue to focus on programs and initiatives that are aligned with its strategic direction and long-term sustainability.
