Raising funds, one swing at a time!

' Annual Charity Golf Day

What a tee-rific time had by all on the course at our 21st Annual Gateways Charity Golf Day at Clifton Springs Golf Club.

The Ambrose-style tournament saw 18 teams of four hit the fairways all in support of making our community more accessible and inclusive for people with a disability.  The day was made even more fun with the addition of extra competition holes, such as the putting competition, longest drive, opposite hand drive and crowd favourite Happy Gilmore longest drive!

Thanks to the generous support of our players, supporters, sponsors and volunteers, we are excited to share that we raised an outstanding $34,640 to help refurbish the Gateways Social Connect kitchen

This kitchen is more than just a room, it’s the heart of our Social Connect program, where clients gain life skills, build independence, and form lasting friendships through cooking, learning, and shared activities.

We would also like to extend a special thank you to our event ambassador, Adam Cooney, 2008 Brownlow medallist, for his generous support and involvement in this year’s Golf Day. Our clients absolutely loved the opportunity to get some advice from the AFL legend during the putting clinic on the day.

A big thank you as well to Nicky Buckley, television presenter and model, for joining in on the fun out on course, and to Gary Rohan, former Cats player, who added some friendly competition by taking part in our putting competition final. It was fantastic to have you both with us on the day!

The support from Clifton Springs Golf Club in bringing this day to life was truly unforgettable. Their generosity, attention to detail, and commitment to making the event both enjoyable and seamless were outstanding. A heartfelt thank you to the entire team for going above and beyond.

We can’t wait to see you next year – it was a ‘hole’ lot of fun!
